Like others, I bought this to split my Dish DVR HDMI signals to 2 TV’s: The large living room and the smaller bedroom TV. I never have a problem with the larger Sony TV. I turn it on and it works. The bedroom TV is on a 30 ft HDMI chord though. So when I first turn that TV on, my picture has a heavy purple hue. To make the hue go away, I simply unplug the HDMI chord at the bedroom TV and plug it back in. That re-sets something and I am good to go the rest of the time viewing on the distant TV until the larger & closer one is turned on. Then I have to re-set the distant TV again. It’s a minor annoyance, but then again, I don’t have to purchase an upgrade DVR to watch the HD programming on 2 TV’s, so in that respect, this is worth it for the price.

This HDMI splitter arrived on time and I was surprised how small it was – it hides very well behind the table my LCD sits on. The LED lights showing the active signals is a quick way to see that all is connected and powered up to pass the feed to my remote LCD TV.

I bought this so that I could send the video signal from my PS3 to both my 47″ LED Vizio and 24″ HP computer monitor.

The problem I’m having is when I switch inputs on my computer’s monitor from HDMI to DVI. Once I switch away from HDMI I can’t get the video signal back. Even if I switch it on/off the splitter is still unable to detect the display. This however does not affect the 47″ ability to change inputs and I can switch from HDMI 1, 2, 3 composite, whatever and it switches back to the the PS3 HDMI input without problem. The only solution that I found for both displays to work properly is to have the HP on first set to HDMI then power up the Vizio but if I make any changes on the HP the problem reoccurs.

It worked excellently. Yes a silver plate is better than copper. Silver has less resistance than copper.

This cable does its job, and does it well, but it’s been banished by [...] (one of the most reputable tech websites on the internet) as a terrible company. They overprice the heck out of all of their products. Go buy a regular HDMI cable for . It’ll do the same thing, just as high of quality, and with gold plates, as opposed to silver (gold has lower resistance).

I find out only after I received the cable that this type of cable requires an additional audio cable to go with it, because it is video only. The website doesn’t tell you and the geniuses at Best Buy didn’t either. That would have been less upsetting to me if I just had to buy another cable but even with a brand new computer and tv with dual hdmi ports, this cable didn’t transmit anything. No video or audio. NO matter what I did, I couldn’t get it to work. I’d like to advise buying the hdmi to hdmi cables but I don’t know if I want to risk it with this return policy.
